Seinfeld on DVD?

How long have I been asking for Seinfeld episodes on DVD? I want it all, every single season, and I'm willing to pay top dollar for it. Since I was a late in discovering the show, there's about six seasons of hilarious hijinx that I need to catch up on.

I sensed the first spark of hope today. There on the shelves at HMV were the first six seasons... of "Friends". Unfortunately, they were PAL DVDs made in Britain and no one outside of Europe owns a DVD player that will play those discs. Even Hong Kong, which broadcasts PAL, sells mostly NTSC players.

"Seinfeld" and "Friends" are both Must-See TV. Hopefully it's only a matter of time. We're getting close to achieving my dream.

Now what's up with the Vooner - I thought he would know all that is COOL AND NEW... for those PAL/NTSC problems, just buy an APEX DVD player - plays MP3 CDs, DVDs *bypassing* all region codes, as well as plays NTSC/PAL discs... best of all, about $160 USD.

Multi-System DVD Players

Well pointed out there schlaulau. Up till now, there have been many multi-output players (those capable of NTSC playback on Pal TVs) but no multi-system players that I have seen. The reason is purely economics, there are so little PAL DVD discs out there that no one would actually want a multi-system player. Of course, with the Europeans putting out both kinds of discs, it comes as no surprise. I read the entire Apex DVD manual and specs and while it doesn't say it specifically, it does seem to indicate that it is a multi-system player. Of course, when I do a quick search at UK based DVD sites, I find several players including a popular model called SCAN that play both NTSC and PAL discs. This could solve DanChan's original issue. But the Apex is not on the list of "workable" DVD's for the new RCE copyright protection discs (beginning with The Patriot). The SCAN player works with RCE discs only when you manually select the region.

You mean my 8 month old Apex player is no longer useful, with this new RCE protection scheme? Crap I need a new player... or a new job to satisfy my need (like theVooner's) to get new toys all the time...

Anyone in HK know if I can send in my Apex player and upgrade the firmware? Hehe those commi folks at Apex sure knows how to design a good system... need to get the BIOS flashed...

Anyone notice that eMate, GDaymate, Javier and Joe always seem to be on line at the same time? Maybe they are all lovers, living in the same house or something like that.

By the way I turned 29 today - one more before I hit the big THREE-O...

Happy B-day Schlau

I usually keep emate/gdaymate and javier locked up in the basement, they are my pleasure slaves. Once in awhile I do let them out though so they can do their business around the neighborhood park, their sand boxes gets filled up rather quick if I don't do that.

30 is still too young, I can't wait till I'm 50 so college girls will finally want to go out with me.
