The thing about traveling is: with a lot of the friends that you make along the way, there's the understanding that it's temporary. You may have had a great time together, but eventually you'll part ways and most likely never see each other again.

The fact that a lot of these friendships are transitory in nature in no way detracts from the richness of the experience. Actually, it gives a certain kind of freedom. There are some people on the trip that I will always remember.
