I have a blister on my right thumb from stamping over 600 people's hands for the Moby after party last night. Ouch. I was working door and taking cash. I don't even know if Moby showed up nor did i have any time to break and check.

I don't think i'd like to do the door regularly, or security for the front door. People ask you for things you can not possibly give them. They pull the most idiotic, irrational and irritating things to try to get what they want. You must remain impartial always, dead pan face of disbelief till proof. If something doesn't fit or work you turn 'em away- doesn't matter. Many people complained about the $7 cover charge for those without a ticket stub from the Moby concert- in Dallas it's usually $10 for cover. Others tried to tell me they were on the guest list. Pht.

All the faces, and the process of ticket or money taking made me dizzy. I was hardly able to recognize anyone individually. I was thoroughly exhausted by the time my shift was over.
