Does anyone think Jim Henson actually died of AIDS?

I heard it was a very sudden illness. Like, he was totally fine, then got sick all of a sudden, checked into the hospital the same day and died later that weekend of pneumonia. Or something equally as dramatic. AIDS-related infections are usually slow and lingering, aren't they?
