Sudden change of plans- i'm not going to Dallas and probably not Annapolis for croquet in April. I will be going to my parent's house over that weekend and then some. I doubt my ability to detour to see the match though under the circumstances.

April 24! I think they did make a mallet. And also possibly the faceplates to some guitars, if I remember. Y'oughtta come. Ya really oughtta. Hell, we made it there from Fe in no time -- left after seminar, spent all of Saturday in Annapaloidous bliss, and were back in time for class Monday morning.

I found an article in Blade magazine about a bowie knife made from the wood of the Liberty tree at st. john's. Didn't they also make a mallet?
