So Long Astoria

No one even knows it's there
the all just drive on by,
they all pass the road to nowhere
and follow the dark pink sky
You're on the road to nowhere,
you're off the beaten track,
keep your eyes on the road ahead,
'cause you're never coming back.
As all the lost and sorrowed souls
float past you by and by,
the others all just pass the road,
and follow the dark pink sky.
You're on the road to nowhere,
you're passing under time,
keep your eyes on the road ahead,
'cause it isn't just in your mind.

-Ah, so many things to speak of... well, not really.-
I haven't posted lately because there hasn't been much worth nothing that i could even fit a paragraph of typing into. now, after about ten days, I finally have an accumulation of things to talk about.
First of all...
I'm learning to play the upright bass that our school bought this year. It's really cool, but hard. You can only play three frets at most on one string at a time, the notes are so far away. not only that, your fingers get a workout pushing the strings down. they're huge!
I've also been trying to make this website on Frontpage, but i can't get Darien to tell me how (bastard >:|). I have a really nice background on it in frontpage, but alas, i can't get it up onto my site. I'll figure it out...
There's not much more to speak of, and anything that was of any real interest is probably on either my friend Jordan's or Alex's page
UPDATE:
I hope this works. if you are reading this. i have just performed a miracle and am the happiest person ever. If you are reading this. i have saved my blog from certain destruction. i tried to put a background on my blog, and for some reason, the stuff between the "don't touch" lines was deleted. luckily. Lex was online and sent what was in between them via msn messenger and i put it in, thus saving my blog. my gratitude to you Lex.

-That was interesting...-
Well, today I got to go see "Chicago" at Silver City. It's not bad, and I didn't know Richard Gere could sing either, so there were two suprises at once. Oddly, Me and my sister (she took me to the movie. she works there so gets herself and another person in free) met up with some of the cast of Footloose in the theatre, and found out they were going to Trevi's Tavern after the movie, so we joined them. Quite cool. So, overall, today was pretty eventful, and very fun as well. I'd like to give a shout out to the cast of Footloose, we were great onstage, and now we still keep up every once in a while. In my opinion, however humble, that's the way casts are supposed to be, not just some Wham Bam thank you ma'am, jumble of characters who never see eachother again after the last show. It should be a family.

-Well, This Week has been interesting enough...-
I'm suprised to say, I didn't fall asleep from boredom this week. I have Math for homeroom, and today we had a review test (it was, suprisingly, a breeze). I also have Science (Laberge apparently gives a lot of homeworks, but barely checks it. I've already bullshitted my way through two days, I think I might be able to do it some more), Civics and Career studies (Bird course.Lapierre is a bit of a hardass, but she's nice enough), and Tech Design (Cole is a blast!). Lex actually hurt himself in tech today. He got a little too close to the band saw blade with his middle knuckle, and now he's got a cut about 2 mm deep up form his knuckle to the tip of his finger, and it passes through his fingernail (he's gonna feel that one later on!)
The LAA (Lockerby Athletic Association is selling carnations near the calf, and I'm thinking of buying one and sending it to cathy (signed by either some obscure thing, such as "someone you know" or "a mystreious admirer", or i coul just sing it "biff", she doesn't know that's my "alter ego"). I hope she's single!
I took a babysitting Job today, so my parents could go out with their friends. their friends' children needed a babysitter, so I volunteered. I watched tv with them for half an hour, shooed them off to bed, then watched "Sweet Home Alabama", then Undergrads. Along with being paid with food (a large bag of chips and a pop) I got 20 bucks for a few hours work. I would need to deliver almost two weeks of papers to get that much. I think I might consider doing it more often... >![]()
Overall, It's been a rather interesting week. Hope yours was as interesting as mine.

-What a boring day this has been...-
Jeebus, what a boring day. I did almost nothing all day but sit in front of a television or a computer, and to make it worse, no one I wanted to talk to was on MSN or on Warcraft 3. Jordan was out skiing all day, Alex is god knows where, and I have nothing to say to anyone else, really. SIGH. I saw "Dude, Where's My Car?" tonight. I could literally feel the intelligence being sucked out of me when i watched it. the whole movie they talk about this car, and it turns out that you don't even see it until the end, and the car is a piece of crap, and during the whole movie they've been driving around a Mercedes. Pretty sad. How could anyone concieve that the teenage populous could be so stupid and senseless to find this any more than remotely funny. The only funny part of the whole movie is that the big alien split into six or seven girls during 90% of the movie keeps referring to itself as "hot Chicks" which, though true, is rather stupid considering i don't know any girl that would say they were a hot chick, and i know more girls than most of the people reading this would believe. So, in conclusion; whatever you do, don't watch Dude, Where's My Car?, and keep it real.
