"Eventually you're going to have to make decisions for yourself, instead of for others. And you can't take offense when other people don't argree with you." Okay... so when I chose to put you dead last you dead last you're not going to mind right? Wrong. As you're ginving me this lecture you've already started expressing your disappointment that I'm putting you last, and making me feel like an asshole because I want to live my own life.
"I realize family might not be high on your priority list but I hope it's not so low that you can just dismiss it." Well guess what? My family is in fact the top of my list, of course my definition of family difers from yours a little. My family are the ones who are there for me on a daily basis, who love me unconditionaly, and who I die if I don't get to interact with. See, they're all on the top of my list. Those people who are biologically related to me, break their promises, were absent from my childhood, judge me every two seconds, and tell me that they love me while screaming at me for doing something wrong are less important than dirt on my list. And yes, dirt is low, soil - not so low, rocks and minerals - not so low, dirt - very bottom.
You see you earned your place there, so pick. Do you want me to live my life, or do you want me to live your life? Because as it is I'm living some of my life, and most of yours, while crying myself to sleep because you're disappointed I'm not living all of yours.
