WARNING: This is a rant, I repeat this is a rant!!!

Most of you know the first part, so don't bother reading the first paragraph!

Ok, BLOODY HELL!!! Back in September, at Huckleberries, there were four of us who worked the night shift (5-8) plus weekends. Then one of them quit because they found another job (why would anybody ditch it? It is the best job ever!!!) Anyways, we divided the shifts between three of us, ok not to bad, right? WRONG!!! A couple weeks later, (long story short) another person does not show up for her shift, nor does she inform me, she is therefore fired because she is not the first time she did this (though she says she quit). So then there were only two of us to work all evening shifts and weekends till October, plus my other job. Now it is October, the have the person who works the day shift working three evening shifts and she seems to refuse to work weekend shifts because she wants to go home to North Bay every weekend. *rolls eyes*
And as if this is not enough my other job (Dollarama) is complaining that I was hired for part-time during the weekend and that the other staff members are upset about it. AND if this keeps up they will have to find somebody to replace me! HEEELLLOOO!!! This is not my fault, plus I work two or three shifts during the week plus Sunday! I AM TRYING DAMMIT!!!

Here is my schedule for the next while:
Today (13th): Dollarama-- for short I am going to put $-- (4-9:30)
Friday (14th): $ (4-9:30)
Saturday (15th): Huckleberries (11-4)
Sunday (16th): Huckleberries (4-8)
Monday (17th): won't be home till supper because of appointment
Tuesday (18th): Huckleberries (5-8)
Wednesday (19th): $ (4-9)
Thursday (20th): $ (4-9)
Friday (21st): $ (3:30-9)
Saturday (22nd): Huckleberries (11-4)
Sunday (23rd): $ (9-3) AND Huckleberries (4-8)

I thought I signed up for PART-TIME, which generally means I only work PART of the time, but NO, I'm sorry, I get the impression I am working FULL-TIME!!!

My life consists of: School, walk, work, homework, sleep; school, walk, work, homework, sleep... etc., etc., and so forth.

I WANT SO SORT OF A LIFE BACK!!!

*hangs head, sticks fingers through breathing holes in box* It huuurts!!!

Response to Regan: I kinda do need Dollarama because last year I didn't work at Huckleberries from Christmas Eve to May, and considering it is minimum wage, it is not enough to pay for university especially if I am going out of province. And as for my parental unit, I shall never understand them. My mother hounded me since the end of spring for me to get a second job because the amount of money I need for university, especially since she plans on making me pay for my first year by myself. And now that school is back on and I have both jobs she is constantly critizing the whole two-job-and-school thing to anybody who is listening, and me (even though I try to drown it out) even though she was the one who forced me to get another job. I would like to know if she expected me to quit Dollarama after a month? Cause I'm sure as hell not giving up Huckleberries, and she damn well knows this!!! I'm soo confuused!!! This is why! And ironically enough, you are recommending that I tell them to shove it, and you finish by calling me 'Sweety'... and as much as I'm not sweet, I don't really feel like pissing more people of than I already have...

*hugs* Hon, you need to tell them that they have to slow down your shifts. Or, give up your job at Dollorama. I know that you love your job at Huckleberries, so ditch the other one. You don't NEED it, do you? Your parents aren't going to flip if you get rid of one of them so that you don't die are they? So tell your employer that if they aren't going to give you a little bit of flexibility, because you are working two jobs, and going to school to boot, they can shove it. They don't really want to go through the process of replacing you, so force them to show their hand sweety.

*hugs tightly* that is a lot of work... however if you can do this and survive then nothing in the future will be quite as much of a challenge as it would have been... i only something happens to lessen the load before you burn out completely...

*hugs*
