Well, I'm back. .

Yep, we took our drive today. As plans tend to do around here, plans got changed a few times. First it got changed to, going to Costco for lunch, and getting either hot dogs or pizza and a soda. And maybe doing some shopping. They even talked about not going past Anchorage!:( Which bummed my sis. and I out. But once we got to town, we found Costco and a bunch of other places were closed cause of easter. Blah! So, we went back to the first plan and went to Burger King. Well, since two of my siblings had a free meal, and Burger King had this 2 whopper Jrs., 2 french fries, and 2 soda's for only 5 bucks. We got 4 of those meals. That did us. (When we'd get 30, they were hamburgers, not whopper Jrs. and we wouldn't get fr. fries, nor soda, and had my older bro. with us, plus we'd have a few left over)

After that we drove south a few hours to Portage, then back. It was a beautiful drive!! We stopped at Indian, to use the outhouses, and we looked across the inlet and all. That was the only place I was able to get pics. Oh, besides ones of a train while driving!:p (the train track is right beside the road) Anyways, I've uploaded a bunch, and here they are!

Yes, and I know I didn't name the pics. I've spent all this time uploading them, and my sis. is waiting to use the computer!:|
Edit: With "JC's" code, I've now got links for the pics. up!

Here's 3 of my bros. Isaac (7), Jesh (4), and Aaron (10) looking out across the inlet.

Hehe! This is my Mum holding nana (Hosanna - 1) walking towards me, with my Dad, and Andy (15) walking the opposite way.

Looking the other way at a Mt. (I love taking pics. of Mts.) and a few buildings of Indian.

Here's the inlet (Cook Inlet).

Another view of the Inlet. On the right is the road we drove on.

Dad looking out the teloscope with siblings

Here's the train, I took it out the window while going around a curve.

This is another one of the train, the car was going up and down, so I barely got the train in the pic.!:p It was a passenger train.

We're talking of taking a trip on the train sometime. Going through a long tunnel, (you have to pay) and all. I hope it all works out! We also starting discussing driving a ways with my Grandparents when they head out a few weeks for North Carolina. (their moving there:()

I'm so frusterated with this, about the links, and I'm totally out of it. Yesterday and today I've had this headache. It's kind of like constant pressure. It's awful. I don't know what it is, what's the cause, but I don't like it! It's really wearing me down. Then most of today, I've felt really cold and have been shivering. (not like me) But now! My face is red, and I'm totally burning up!! It's awful! I'm getting to bed soon. When I first sat down here, I was shivering, then I started getting hot, then burning up and feeling kind of light headed. Just out of it. Well, I'll quit my whining. I usually don't go on like this, no one but my Sis. really knows. I'll try to fill you in tomorrow on some details, once we get into my Grandparents. And hopefully I'm feeling better! Hope you are all having a lovely night, and day. And that you enjoy the pics! G'nite!

& she cries, "Encore!"

But I don't think I'd want to move there.
I should relocate in an instant! That is, I've a nice bit of property awaiting me, complete with cabin...and Aurora Borealis...and canine companionship, and all else—if only in my dreams.  ;o)

I like 'em!

That mountain reminds me of the mountain above Butte. Very similar.

I loved looking at the photos.

Your Alaska is rather pretty. But I don't think I'd want to move there.
Sounds like you had a pretty nice time! I hope you feel better though soon. :-(

Soooooo sorry you're not feeling well!!! :( Yesterday at church I was soooo sick...Playing my flute and singing under the lights, plus the fact that the a/c wasn't working and it was nearly 80 degrees was not a good combination! I nearly passed out and had to leave the service!!! Anyhow, I hope you're feeling better now!!!

And you know, I didn't think about having the 30 burgers being plain hamburgers w/out the 'accessories.'. ;) lol. We usually get whopper jrs or double chs. burgers (when they're on sale for $0.99) and fries and cokes, so..... If we got the plain burgers and nothing else we'd get a whole lot more too!!
It's funny when we go out though...Like we can hear the drive thru person choking when we order 13 doublestacks with chees, 6 fries, and 6 cokes (we get large size and share). They're like "How many!???" hehe....The joy of being a large family!!

Anna <><
BTW...those pictures are GORGEOUS!! Alaska is sooooo pretty!!!
