I feel much better tonight!

Must have to do with it raining outside!;) I'm thankful rain has never affected my mood, and made me gloomy, etc.

Honestly, I must give credit where it is due! Thank you my gracious heavenly Father for giving me your Word to encourage and uplift me, and for lifting my spirits! How awesomely good You are to me!

As I mentioned, I went up and read my Bible, and Matthew 19:29 was encouraging, also most of Col. 3, esp. verses 20 and 23, and also most of Hebrews 12. There were just what I needed in this circumstance.

Also, Mum got a really good CD, and I was listening to it tonight. A song or two really spoke to me. Here's one of them:

Sing and Dance
By Brian Thiessen

I wanna sing and dance
Your love has come to me
I wanna sing and dance
Might lose some dignity
Freedom's coming to my soul in
quantities I cannot control
Your love has come to me

I wanna thank You Lord
Your love has come to me
I wanna thank You Lord
This child has been set free
Welling up from deep inside is
gratefulness that I cannot hide
Your love has come to me

I stood before You a sinner
Guilty beyond what I could pay
Jesus You laid down Your life
And washed all of my sins away
Your love has come to me

1998 Mercy/Vineyard Publishing

It's the 9th track on a CD called, "I Just Want To Thank You", it's the 36th CD in a series called, "Touching the Father's Heart" put out by Vineyard!

Might lose some dignity
Yeppers, that's what I did tonight! *bg*

Thanks for all the prayers! Mucho gracias!

*sighs* I need. .

some encouragement. I took an action that affected many people, but I felt it was right. Some understood, some didn't. It's hard though. I'm really down right now.

Anyways, we're at my Grandparents, until tomorrow afternoon.

Well, I do believe I'm going to go read my Bible some more, and pray. Thanks for reading.

Splendid!!

Stealing Reba's word there! *winks*

Mesa is most happy! Main reason, I'm home!!! yay! Also, I made out like a bandit with the mail today!:D At our one post office box, I got a HC circle letter, and a newsletter, at the other, the other HC circle letter, and a letter from a friend in Australia!:D
My, am I ever behind in responding to letters. I've got to get a bunch of those done.

Well, I guess that's it for now. The one line isn't working, so I'm on our home line, so don't want to be on long.

Oh, the weather!! It's simply gorgous here! The driveway has really cleared off while we've been gone. And we got little "rivers" of water running. It's been warming up lately, but there's still been a bit of a chill in the air. I noticed that was gone today!! The temp. is like 55!! Our highest this year.

Cya next week!

Well, our trip into town proved kind of interesting. First we went to the Christian book store, while Mum was in there, I went over to a thrift store looking for nana a dress or two. Then I went over and joined Mum, she bought two CD's. Then she went over to the thrift store, and me with nana, and my bros. walked over to the Library! First I got on the computer looking up various authors and all I'm currently reading, but they didn't have any of them at that library!:( Then I went over to the pet section. (yep, knew right where it was!) I only got thru two shelves of dog books, before we had to go!:( I got 8 books, and wrote down several more titles to order later. There was still SIX more shelves of dog books!! Oh yes, and when we were checking out, the librarian asked how old I was, I replied, 18. She goes, "Aha! You are a juvenile no longer!" (thanks for rubbing it in:p) She said they weren't going to have me fill out a form cause I've been going there for years. (when you turn 18, you have to confirm you're still at the same address, and you get an 'adult' card) I'd gotten my card before they started doing the juvenile cards, so they said I didn't have to get a new card. But I did, they've changed 'em!! It's kind of neat looking. You know what? That means I haven't gone to that library in over 6 months!!!:|

After that we went to the duck pond. Only a portion of it is unfrozen, but there was a lot of Canadian geese, and mallards there. There was a turkey, some other ducks and all there too. I only saw 3 rabbits. My bros. caught the one rabbit, it was all black, I'm thinking it was pretty old. We all held him, he was really sweet. When we first pulled up, there was these two boys messing around the big rocks. I'm supposing they were some where between 12-14 yrs. of age. One boy drew my attention as the bottom half of his hair was black, and the top a light yellow (unnatural), blah! Then he bent over, and I exclaimed, "Good grief!", and looked away. When Mum asked what? I told her, "That kid needs to pull his pants up"! The poor lil boy had forgotten his belt, and you could see several inches of his boxers. Mum said, "That's the thing nowadays!" How an outrage, what a disgrace!!

After that we went to the grocery store, (I stayed in the car) then came back here and had Ice cream, and THEN dinner! hehehe

(this space left blank, due to absence of an idea)

Sorry, I haven't post the last day or two. Not much to post about, I reckon. I've just finished editing and sending off two emails for my Gram. Hopefully that's the last of that, until Friday when I call her before we leave. That's right, this week we're staying till Friday. I wanna go home!!

Now I'm off to shower, then get ready to go. We're going to go into town, hit the duck pond, book store, library, etc. Normally I prefer staying home, but this time I want to go. This is a different borough then our library, and a much bigger library. So, I'm looking forward to looking up a whole ton of books. hehe (we used to live in this borough, and go to this library, so we have cards for it, and we used to be acquianted with most of the librarians)

So, I shall talk to you all later!

No more, no more!!

My brain is about to go on overload. I've just been on the phone with my Grama for about 2hrs. going over emails, editing, and sending some emails for her. Towards the end she was giving me names and numbers, and I was getting them wrong and all. That's a definate sign for me that I need a break!:p She had to go, so I did.

And she just called back! Argh! She wants me to send another email! My brain has not recovered!! There always seems to be more to do, more and more! Don't worry though, y'all, I'll not complain when I get paid!;-)

Well, I haven't got everything done I wanted to. But, I DID get all the laundry washed except one load of whites so far!:D I was supposed to keep up on it, but was hoping I could finish it all as a surprise for Mum! I've still got to get that dog stuff typed up. And I should go fold laundry, and I've got to tape a call for my Grama in 15 min. then call her back and email something else for her. So, better scoot!

I'm not home!

*sigh* I'm getting sick of this. Spending a few days a week here at my Grandparents and a few at home. I wanna stay home!

I guess today isn't so bad though. Mum and my sisters are in town with my Aunt, picking out linoleum to go in our bathrooms, laundry room, etc. My Dad and 3 of my bros. are at our homeplace. And it's just Aaron and I here. It's rather nice, I've been doing laundry, cleaned up, had breakfast, took a shower. And now I'm kind of going back and forth between this (my Grama's computer {laptop}) and my laptop which I have set up on the dining room table.:p I'm going to copy a bunch of emails I need to reply to, into Word then on a disk and put them on my laptop. Since I don't seem to have much time on net lately. And I need to get some dog stuff typed up out of this book I got, cause it's due like tomorrow! Yipes! Good thing our library has a 3 day grace!:D

Well, I'd better start on that. Talk at ya later!

I'm home!

When I walked in the door, and saw my brother on the computer, I just laughed outright! Sitting between the tall computer on one side, and our 3-in-1 (copier, printer, scanner) was sitting an amusingly small moniter! I knew we were getting my Grannie's old moniter (isn't God good?), but I had no idea it was so small. The size doesn't bother me, it rather amuses me!:p

After snowing off and on the past two days, it's raining this evening!:p If I didn't know better, (God is charge, issueing every change in the weather, etc) I could almost think that winter and spring are fighting it out!:p Winter: "Aha! You won't get alway with melting the snow and warming up, here take this snow!" Spring: "Yeah, well go ahead! I'll just melt you right off the roofs!" LOL That's how it was. Snowing away, yet the roofs were dripping and melting.:p

Something quite out of the ordinary happened last night. It happened in this wise: First as usual we were going to go to the meeting. Then we didn't think Dad would be back in time, then was was going to, then he got stuck in traffic, then he got home in time. So, first we were going, then we weren't, then we were, then we weren't then we were!:p So, finally Dad, Andy, Amy and I headed out, we got to the very bottom of our road, right where we turn onto the highway, and it stalls, we were officially out of gas. Lovely eh? Sooo, Dad started walking (back home, 2 1/2 miles), but he had only gone a min. when a neighbor came by and gave him a ride. That was great! Once there Dad filled a 5-gallon tank with diesel and came back down in his work van.
Then he had ME back his van up and park it. I'd never driven his van before, and I don't really use the mirrors, and with all his stuff in there, it was hard to see, but I did pretty good! hehe It was a new experience!:p His is a extended work van, pack jammed full, with a ladder rack on top and everything.
THEN when we came back, I DROVE THE SUBRUBAN ALL THE WAY UP!! (our road) while Dad followed in his van.
I'd never driven that hill before, and I was really nervous, but I just had to do it! And it was snowing too. I'm glad I did though, I did just fine, and it gave me confidence in my driving!

hehe, so that's for my adventurous Alaska living story!:p

I do seem. .

to have chosen a favorite book of the Bible! I finished Job today, and I really enjoyed it. (started it yesterday) I'll start Psalms in the morning, hopefully have it done by the end of the week.

I'm currently reading a book called, "Being seventy: the measure of a year" by Elizabeth Vining. I got it, later realizing it was a journal of the author kept through her 70th year. I decided to go ahead and read it, thought it might be interesting, give this young brain a look into a older brain you might say. It's proven quite interesting, given me a look out on what goes through an older persons mind about age, dying, etc. Also, she taught the crown prince of Japan, when he was a young boy, and in the book she takes a trip back to Japan. At this time, the crown prince is pushing 40. It was quite interesting to read about her trip there, the people, and all. I've just about completed it, then I've got 5 or so more library books to read!

Well, we'll be heading out homeward bound tomorrow. Well, I guess that's it for now.

*sighs*

So much I could say, just don't feel like spilling it all now. I haven't been on the internet in the past five days (but I wasn't missed) for a couple of reasons, one being that our moniter broke for our computer at home. (I'm on my Grama's right now) And I probably won't be on a'tall this week. In a way, it's a nice time off the net, time to consider and do other things. But I do miss the net, esp. being able to share my life here.

One exciting thing: I got a laptop! My Grandpa gave it to my Dad, and Dad don't need it, so I requested it! It's come in handy to type up a bunch of dog related things, and I'll use it for typing letters and for typing up my newsletter when I start it back up. The battery is shot so I have to keep it pulled in all the time, and I won't have internet on it, but it's nice having a computer in MY room! *grins*

Today we went in and saw my Grandparents, for the last time? Ever? *cries* I know some people haven't ever met their grandparents, or they died and they never knew them, or they live far away and they hardly ever see them. And that I've been VERY privileged to live rather close to both of my Grandparents. BUT, when you've lived kind of near your grandparents all 18 years of your life, and then they move away to North Carolina, it's quite a plight indeed.

Tomorrow is my Mum's b'day. She knows my Aunt's coming out, but she doesn't know the main reason why. She's coming out with a steak, cake, and presents for Mum! shhhh. . t'is a surprise! I hope my Mum has a lovely day, and feels special. Things have been trying for her of late.

Argh! Sometimes I feel like Job, and want to curse the day I was born. He went a bit further than I have and wished he had died in the womb. (Yes, I'm currently reading thru Job, how could you tell?) Sorry, I'm grouchy and tired right now. There's just a situation or two with a few friends, and all that's really been weighing on my mind and all. I HAVE been putting friends before God, and God's really showing me that. Maybe in not ways I'd like, but His way is perfect! Well, I'd better hit the sack.

Cya who knows when.

Pictures!

Alrighty, here's the pictures I promised.

This here is how the front of our house looks right now. Soon we will have the outside trim up, then paint, and get the roof on. These things take time and money you know! Oh yes, and the window on the leftest on the upper story is mine and my sisters room. Well, actually it's our window, but you know what I mean!:p

Here you can see the garage and then part of the house.

This here pic. is of our window sill, things pertaining thereto, and the view out our (sis. and mine) window.

For those of you who haven't seen it, here's a very recent pic. of our "Sweet little cabin".(as my Mum calls it)

Alrighty, here's the aforementioned pic. of me wearing my boonie. Not so good, but it works, I suppose.:p

This one is Isaac(7), he's wearing his hat, that used to by my Great Grandpa's. He wears it allll the time!

Here's my sweet, sweet, Nana!

Ok, those are the pics. from Monday. Now for yesterday!

Meholding my not so collicky, cranky (anymore, YAY) darlin cousin Michael!

Close up of Michael. Isn't he suchhhhh a cutie?

This here pic. I snapped, of my sis. Amy (12) holding Mike and playing the piano one handed. Her hairs up in the hat, cause it needed a washin!:p

Ohhh, I love this pic!! It's Aaron(10) holding Mac, and my aunt got his smiling sooo beautifully!

And for my final picture. My sis. took this one of the sunset last night. I thought it was really pretty.

There, now that you're throughly bored, I'll stop!:p Sorry if that was too many.

Oh, and also my sister, Amy started a blog. She'd be delighted and surprised if someone would drop in a leave a comment. (she doesn't know that I'm posting this, well until she comes by and reads this:p) Not much yet, I'm planning on helping her pick some colors out something here soon!:p (ha! Time, right! *laughs*)

Moose Rodeo

Here's something that REALLY cracked me up at the time. Hope you enjoy it.

Ok, it all started when I wrote a letter to a friend, and told her how we saw 4 moose at one time in our woods. She used to live up here, and is a great tease, and so she went,
"Four moose at one time? I didn't know you had added breeding moose to your hobbies. Or is Luke taming them? Let me know when you can ride them. *grin x 2*"
I found that funny, and couldn't resist so, I replied with something along the lines of,
"What? You didn't know we're been breeding moose? My girl, where HAVE you been? We're been at it for a few years now. We've got a couple almost bomb proof but not quite. We even host a "Traditional Moose Rodeo" every year. It's really exciting. It's fun, and draws large crowds."
Then I went on to say, "Don't you just hate it when you really think someone is teasing you, but you're not QUITE sure? Yes, I am teasing you about the moose. But now that I think on it, it's not such a bad idea."
I showed it to Dad, cause he had read her letter. At first when he was done reading it, he gave me this look. I just cracked up. Then later after I told another friend about it on the phone, he asked if she was coming to the Moose Rodeo. And then later he was out coiling some rope up, and we had two moose in our yard. And he suddenly acted like he was swirling a lasso, hollared and started towards the moose. Like he was going to catch one or something! *grins* So, I could tell he really got a kick out of the joke. hehe I really got a good laugh out of it.
I just mailed the letter a few days ago, so we'll see what she has to say in response!:p

Yes, yes, I'm going to get those disks so I can upload those pictures right now. Pushy, pushy!;p

Embarressing!

I went into town with my Aunt, lil cousin, and lil bro. to do some grocery shopping for my mum, and then my older bro. drove my lil bro. and I back here. (Grandparents) After shopping, and while waiting for my bro. to arrive, we sat at a table and ate our ice cream bars. After we were done, and my bro. was there, I told my lil bro. into the restroom to wash him up. I had this strange feeling while in there. Then when I came out my Aunt and Bro. just cracked up at me. Then my Aunt asked me why I went into the Men's bathroom! OOPS!! I laughed with them, but t'was embaressing!!

Today, I held my lil cousin, and sis. alot. Did a bunch of secretarial work for my Grama. Helped my aunts and mum go through some of my Great Grama's stuff. Even got a few treasures. Went to the laundrymat twice with mum, and went into town shopping with my aunt for my mum.

Tomorrow promises to be just as, or even more busy. Want with finishing up the laundry, and everything, showering, packing things up. Going to church and then home.

I got some recent pics. of our house with the windows in, cabin, etc. yesterday (monday). And I had gotten my boonie out for the season, and got my 7yo. bro. to get a pic. of me. Then my sis. took a few pics. of me holding my lil cousin today, and I got a few of my bro. (10yo) holding him. I'll try to get those uploaded and posted tomorrow. I'm a hittin the sack now!

Vell,

maybe I'm not as dumb as I thought!:p I went to gedpractice.com.Where my brother said you could actually take the test but it wouldn't be counted to you as anything. (He's currently taking GED classes) Anyways, I did the Writing Skills Part 1. There was three sections, Sentence Structure, Usage, and Mechanics. Out of the 15 problems for each section, I got 11 right on the first two, and 12 out of the 15 right on the third. So that means out of 45 problems, I missed 11, and got 34 right. Not so bad if I do say so myself. I'm in the process of doing the "History" section of the Social Studies part right now. This has really boosted my confidence on taking the GED, cause I was rather nervous about it.

Ok, I just finished History. I got 1 out of the 15 problems wrong. I'm gonna head to bed now, and work on some more tomorrow! G'nite!

Well,

lunch went over smoothly. I was glad when it was over. I mean it took most of my morning making lunch, doing dishes, etc. I guess I think things like this as a challenge. To make the most, and best possible meal I can. Or handle the situation to the best of my ability. I mean when Mum's not here, and I have to do things like that. In one way, I probably make too much of it, and expect too much of myself. But in otherways, it's a good thing a learning and growing experience.

Dad's friend ended up staying the night. Which was great cause they didn't get to texturing yesterday. They textured this morning, and did a couple of other small jobs. Including putting somemore sheetrock up in my sisters and mine room! That was great! Now Dad and Mum are off to Walmart to get paint! Their thinking a Med. blue for the upstairs bathroom, we can't shower until its painting.

Today I was able to finish up one letter I was working on. And write 3 more!!!:D I've just got 7 more left to reply to! Yes, yours is #7, Reba. Sorry!:|

I hate to say this, but it's kind of nice when Mum's not home. I mean it's just me, and Dad and a few of the kids. There's not so much rush, and things to do. Dad talks to me more. And I'm able to have some one on one time with him, and one or a few of my siblings. For example, this last time, I spent a bunch of one on one time with Isaac. That last night we had a great talk before bed. I don't normally get to spend that time with him, cause him and Aaron and Jesh are usually together.

I've been thinking about some different things lately. Maybe I'll share a few things sometime. I don't have the time now. It's nice to be able to put my day and thoughts here. And that I know you read, comment and care! Thanks my friends!!

For all you

whiners, I've changed the colors!;-) A couple of times actually, guess I'm pretty color picky!:p

Dad's expecting a friend to come by today and help him PBA, and if they have time to texture the 4 rooms in the house, he's got taped. Speaking of which, he just pulled in!! I've spent most of the morning making food. I really hope they get alot done. This is motivating Dad, cause he's been working alot lately, and has had alot of office and paper work to do. So, hasn't been working on the house much.

Well, I've gotta add the fruit and "good stuff" to the jello salad, and do the dishes, so I'd better scoot!

Glorious Day!!

First off, I want to thank my gracious, awesome, majestic, merciful dear heavenly Father for His wondrous acts and mercy towards me! He's healed me!! I went to bed still feeling icky, but woke up refreshed! God healed me overnight! I woke to a clear head, no ickiness, no pressure, no fever, the best I'd felt in days! My eyes wanted to close back in sleep, but my body felt ready to run a marathon! *grins* Yes, we serve a supreme God! And after taking a shower, well, that's the life! *laughs*

I took "the" test, I went outside with short sleeves (and wet hair even) and wasn't cold a mite! If I had still be sick, I would have been shivering with a sweat shirt and jacket on!! I passed!! *content sigh* Felt good too! (Yes, it's under 40 degrees here, what's your point?)

Ahhh. I just asked Isaac what we should do today. I suggested snowshoeing, cause we haven't been out on them in a while. (and dont' have much more time left to use them *sniff*) He really didn't want to, cause he doesn't really care for them. Anyways, he asked how far we'd go. I said, 100 miles!! He was like, No way! LOL! That's how fit I feel. I am going to get out and do something today. I can't stand to stay in the house!:p

Monday, April 1, 2002

Well,

I had a rough night last night. I went to bed early (8:30ish) so everybody ended up finding out about me being sick!:| Once I got under my comforter and sleeping bag, my body was fine. But my face was burning up like a coal train. My bros. were so nice to go get me a bowl of cold water and a washcloth. That really helped. They were soooo sweet! They opened doors for me, and turned on the light and heater when I went out to the outhouse, stayed and kept me company in my room, etc. I'm planning on giving 'em a treat somehow, I was so grateful to them. I'd dose off for a few min. then wake up. I didn't really fall asleep till after 11. Then I kept waking up, my face wasn't as hot, but then my whole body was hot. I was feeling better this morning, but not nearly 100% or anything. I layed around most of the morning, and ended up staying here with Isaac instead of going into Grama's with Mum.

I finally ate my first food, a bowl of corn chex, early this afternoon. My first meal in about 17hrs. I wanted a second bowl, but felt I shouldn't. I got on net for a while, felt pretty perky, then started getting worse again. So, I went and layed down for another 2 hrs. Now I've been up for 2hrs. I think if I alternate like that, till I get somewhat better, I'll do pretty good. I just CAN'T stay in bed all day! Anyways, I'm still weak, feeling puny, head bothers me off and on, and I'm still running somewhat of a fever. But I'm doing better! Sorry, for going on like that!:|

You say you want more details of our trip? Well, after we passed Anchorage, there was a rock wall on one side of us, and the inlet on the other. I enjoyed looking at the changing rock face on the way down (since I was on that side), and read a bunch of the way back. It sure is pretty though. One thing that sticks out in my mind is. Well, you know that tongue twister, "How much wood, could a wood chuck chuck . . .etc"? Well, Dad kept making up more, like "How much cotton could a cotton tree cotton. . .etc", I don't remember the others. So, I said, "How much wire could a Electrician sting, if a Electrician could string wire?" He replyed in a mock indignate voice, "Electrician's can string wire, my dear! And they can string 200-300 ft. a day!" I just laughed! Daddy's been a Electrician for going on 31 years so he should know!

Well, I guess that's it for now. My brain isn't working properly yet!:P
