I'm home!

When I walked in the door, and saw my brother on the computer, I just laughed outright! Sitting between the tall computer on one side, and our 3-in-1 (copier, printer, scanner) was sitting an amusingly small moniter! I knew we were getting my Grannie's old moniter (isn't God good?), but I had no idea it was so small. The size doesn't bother me, it rather amuses me!:p

After snowing off and on the past two days, it's raining this evening!:p If I didn't know better, (God is charge, issueing every change in the weather, etc) I could almost think that winter and spring are fighting it out!:p Winter: "Aha! You won't get alway with melting the snow and warming up, here take this snow!" Spring: "Yeah, well go ahead! I'll just melt you right off the roofs!" LOL That's how it was. Snowing away, yet the roofs were dripping and melting.:p

Something quite out of the ordinary happened last night. It happened in this wise: First as usual we were going to go to the meeting. Then we didn't think Dad would be back in time, then was was going to, then he got stuck in traffic, then he got home in time. So, first we were going, then we weren't, then we were, then we weren't then we were!:p So, finally Dad, Andy, Amy and I headed out, we got to the very bottom of our road, right where we turn onto the highway, and it stalls, we were officially out of gas. Lovely eh? Sooo, Dad started walking (back home, 2 1/2 miles), but he had only gone a min. when a neighbor came by and gave him a ride. That was great! Once there Dad filled a 5-gallon tank with diesel and came back down in his work van.
Then he had ME back his van up and park it. I'd never driven his van before, and I don't really use the mirrors, and with all his stuff in there, it was hard to see, but I did pretty good! hehe It was a new experience!:p His is a extended work van, pack jammed full, with a ladder rack on top and everything.
THEN when we came back, I DROVE THE SUBRUBAN ALL THE WAY UP!! (our road) while Dad followed in his van.
I'd never driven that hill before, and I was really nervous, but I just had to do it! And it was snowing too. I'm glad I did though, I did just fine, and it gave me confidence in my driving!

hehe, so that's for my adventurous Alaska living story!:p
