daypop weblog

19000 more blogs

Added more blogs to the index over the weekend and somehow that's affecting the Daypop Top 40. Lots of "normal" links that are considered newly discovered and so shoot to the top of the list. This shouldn't be happening since I don't let new blogs affect the Top 40 until they've spent some time in the index. Unfortunately, I have to go to work so I can't really look into this yet.

That is alot of blogs you just added

Did you hand review them all, or did you accept them blind? That seems like too many added for you to be able to review them all.

Weblogs.com

I didn't review the blogs this time. Instead, I grabbed 19000 weblogs that came from weblogs.com ping data. If this doesn't work out and results in spamming, I can always remove the new blogs from the index.
