* And that reminds me... Gotta heatwave? Global warming. Gotta hurricane? Global warming. Got the coldest winter on record? Aw, buddy, you guessed it: global warming. Mini Ice Age in Europe? Shifting weather patterns caused by global warming. So, let's get this straight. Global warming causes global cooling... Anyone else around here scratching his head?
* I don't know about all this King Kong, superblockbuster buzz. I just don't feel it. Maybe I'm the exception, but I have absolutely no desire to see the flick. None. Zilch. Naaaada.

UPDATE: When I found this, I almost cried. A solo acoustic set of MP3s of The Shins' James Mercer. It's raw, unfiltered, you can even hear the beer bottles clinking in the background and the guitar bumping the mic. Double sweet.
