Iran's Racket Racket and Iraq

The recent news of Iran over the past few days has been its involvement in the insurgency of Iraq. I don't think Iran's involvement is news to the rest of people who have paid attention over the past few years, but its nice to have some acknowledgment by the media.

Has anyone noticed, however, that when oil prices appear to be falling, Iran suddenly escalates its rhetoric about its nuclear ambitions? Subsequently, the world oil markets start worrying about potential supply worries, and boom! oil prices start rising again. No doubt, Ahmadinejad is getting oodles of flowers and thank you notes from OPEC members.

Freak Out!

At least, that's what I think you'll do when you see a picture of this shark.

For all the saints

Don't be heavyhearted about yesterday's loss... What a year it was! The Saints will be back next year and full of confidence. I'm proud of our boys in black and gold and thank them for giving us such an enjoyable year.

Jeb for the job

Not to brag or anything, but here's what Peter Robinson had to say about some thoughts that I shared with him on why Republicans should push for Jeb's candidacy:

Last Pro-Jeb Sally For Awhile... [Peter Robinson]

...because nothing quite unnerves me like the thought of a stern look from the sainted K-Lo. But I can't resist the opportunity to post some proof that, in my pro-Jeb sentiments, I'm not alone. From a reader:

It's time for Republicans to throw aside this inane Bush name business in our discussion of Presidential contenders. Jeb is the best candidate out there and I sure...do not wish to have a Democrat in the White House for the next eight years simply because we were too afraid of the public's reaction to Jeb's last name....Jeb Bush...has stuck by his true conservative convictions through withering criticism, hardships, and fierce opposition. He's lost a few battles, but he's won some pretty important ones. That's what gets us excited and that's the kind of leadership that makes a party volunteer give of his or her everything to get out the vote.

Let them eat cheese...

My 5 year old, J, brought this picture to me:

He said, "Hey, Dad! Look, it's me when I'm French!" -- The boy's a genius. So young, yet so wise.
