And now for something completly different.

I have come to the conclution that the purpose of life is to perpetuate itself(I'm smart aren't I). Thus, good is that which aides in survival. To an animal good is relatively easy to determine. In humans it is more difficult. Humans cooperate to survive. Therefore, ethics are good in that they aid in cooperation. Theoreticly one can determine if something is good or not by asking a few questions. Does this help me to survive? Does it help my family to survive? Does it help my city/nation/tribe to survive? Does it help my species to survive? Ultimately, does this aide Life? To determine evil, as the inverse questions. Thats what I think anyway.

This is an excellent day.

In the library I have found copies of Elegy for a Lost Star by Elizabeth Haydon, Emerald Sea by John Ringo, and Going Postal by Terry Pratchett. Not to mention the Golden Torc by Julian May and Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris. Exxxxxxxxcellent!

There are four ways that an undead creature can feed upon the living: flesh, blood, sex, and death. A newly risen undead will need one or more of these things. A more experienced undead will be able to feed with variations on these or at a distance, but the basic forms must be followed.
The shapeshifter known as the Death Peddler for instance often takes an enormous form and eats his victims whole, and thus feeds on their agony,their flesh and blood, and finaly their deaths. It is said that he captures the souls of his victims and feeds on them as well. That would be a variant of death feeding.
Other undead can feed without seriously harming their victims. The undead known as the Burning Lady can walk through a crowd and the only sign that she has fed will likely be dismissed as sun burn by her victims, if they notice at all.
