Empty Fields Reborn
Silence Turn in words from tortured minds Unknowingly entering a place of their own These souls are abused and lost in darkened rooms Stored away from reality and taken chance Awake in the cold beds of their thoughts Ageing before years, tears stain the faces of youth Hungry to survive through the suffering they have caused Feeling the pain, that feeds the emptiness that is left That takes away all meaning of life And leaves them continuing to starve These bodies are endlessly picking apart Every inch that makes them their own Till they are broken down, to no more But dust on the wooden floor To all, they are nothing but neglected children Simply forgotten for a thousand suns Yet, to these lost treasures and wounded cries Chance awakes and confines Taking away wars’ tempted guns As life births within their lungs And so weightlessness fills them, for eternity, Outside the windows of their minds Allowing them to dance… as the wind takes them away, Far from suffer… and harm’s way
