I changed the code to allow Anonymous posts
You can set permissions to all now in both the advanced properties and in your weblog directives. I still need to make examples of how to use it. Real quick, there a two more variables you can display: $author_email $author_url The $author_nickname is in the form "anon:Dan Chan" so you can differentiate an anonymous post. Bad news: Once you set permissions to all, members who are logged in will still have to post anonymously.
ummm bout some of the Variables...
umm u know the 'Edit Template' link is private cos of the [IF $is_owner] thing....well, are there any other variables like that which work with IF... I mean would it be possible to add stuff that only certain members could see like [IF $is_Springline] etc...(lol I know it aint that tho, cos I already tried T_T)...or indeed is there a less personal one like [IF $is_member]? cos I wanna show links to some people but not everyone (there all out to get me I tells ya!) an I jus cant figure it out...haha I'll prolly jus get ignored cos its in the wrong place...but if anyone can help I'll be very grateful!!!

I agree
yea, i would have to agree. I don't see why it would be so hard to be able to set permissions to all and still have those who have signed up already, to be able to post as themselves.
blogger has that little "blogback" script and it doesn't even ask you if you're a blogger member. so you can post either way and it saves the name, email and url information so that next time, you don't have to fill it in but you can still change it.

Cool but
It's way cool that you added anonymous posting but how hard would it be to fix it so, (1) if you were logged in you could post as you or log out or post as anon (2) if you were not logged in you'd be given the option to post anon or login.
I really want to turn it on for my blog but not at the expensive of not being able to post as me. That just puts it back to the same problem as mentioned previously because anybody could post as anon:greggman
