the unbearable lightness of blog This is a weblog open to the public. Anyone can register and start posting here. Find something cool on the net? Leave a link. Anyone who registers can comment on the blog items!
Help! I'd like to know if I can allow friends or the public to post on my blog! Can I do this? If so, how do I accomplish this? I've already set generation.0 and generation.1 permissions to members in my template... what am I missing??
Close Call I recently set up all the servers to power off a common power strip connected to a wall outlet. Who would've known that that specific wall outlet was controlled by a switch on the wall -- the very switch that I decided to flip tonight for no real reason. (Actually, at one point I had suspected that switch controlled one of the wall outlets in the room. But I swear I tested all of them out when I moved in...)
More then one person to post Does anyone know if there is a way to make it so I can have more then one person post on the main page?
It's me again Maragret.

Beat Navy!! Squash the squids!
Friends question - a different one! Firstly, many thanks to vivaknievel with your help on my last question, it was great advice that worked! However, after I'd got it to work I realised it isn't quite what I'm after. Basically my question is this: hasta pronto!
Archive Question While we::blog was down, I switched over to my other (not as good as this one, of course) blog. Now, I'm about to switch over, again. Question is this... since we were down for November, I was hoping to copy all of the posts from the other blog in November into my we::blog archive, so that people can get to it, just by clicking the month. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Complainers - Silencio! Yay! we::blog's back! I've said it before, and I'll say it again... those who complain about it being down need to consider how much they're being billed by we::blog each month for an excellent ad-free service. NOTHING... and that's what you should be complaining about. It's not free for Dan Chan to host this, I imagine. It takes power, room on his site, and his time and expertise in programming this... so you complainers should pipe down and be grateful (was it not Thanksgiving a few days ago?) Secondly... if you come out of your own world for a bit every once in a while, you might notice that Dan made note back in October that the site was going to be down and he apologized. People who EXPECT to get something (and an excellent something at that) for free and without a snag or two here and there, deserve nothing for free at all. This is something very nice that Dan does... he's not obligated to anyone to do it. And those of you who complain are not ENTITLED to his service or time. If you're that upset about it, then why were you still here a month after it was down? Friends List - Please help!! Hello, |
