tsunami di sri lanka
tsunami yang telah meragut beratus ribu nyawa, belum lagi putus2 dari dua bibir manusia sejagat terutama negara yang mengalaminya.
semalam aku mendengar hitz morning krew di hitz.fm, percilia patrick, salah seorang dj yang menyampaikan berita trafik menceritakan pengalaman ngerinya ketika berada di Sri Lanka, negara paling teruk dilanda tsunami, negara paling ramai penduduknya terkorban.
beliau yang bercuti di sri lanka smabil menyambut krismas, menceritakan detik cemas dan keadaan serta perasaannya ketika dilambung ombak hampir sejauh 1 kilometer dari tempat penginapannya. beliau yang digesa orang seorang diver untuk terjun ke dalam air ketika ombak sedang melambung naik memecahkan batu2 bangunan, terjun juga akhirnya walaupun tidak tahu berenang.
begnya yang mengandungi pasport, ic dan purse, ditemui oleh warga tempatan yang datang entah dari mana bertanyakan, "is this your beg?" beg yang ditemui di kampung sebelah kawasan penginapannya itu walaupun basah, masih boleh menjadi bukti akan kewarganegaraannya.
beliau selamat sampai semula ke malaysia.

The death toll from Sunday's tsunamis climbed to 20,000 by Monday as fears of disease from decaying bodies and contaminated water grew in Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
The giant waves -- triggered by the most powerful earthquake on Earth in 40 years -- also left thousands injured, thousands missing and hundreds of thousands homeless.
Some of the tsunamis reached as far as 1,000 miles from the epicenter of the 9.0 magnitude quake, which was located about 100 miles (160 km) off the coast of Indonesia's Sumatra Island at a depth of about 6.2 miles (10 km).

It Never Fails...
In need of simple, expert advice....
Where and how do I change the code for my template so that someone viewing my blog on 600x800 res is going to see it the same way as someone viewing at the next resolution up?
How do I keep all the elements in correct porportion to each other at higher or lower resolutions from 1024x768?
Not sure what I mean? danchan.com/weblog/InsatientHunger. Notice the layout difference between two or more resolutions...
How do I make my divisions maintain "aspect ratio", so to speak, so that the right hand division is the same distance apart from the right margin of the body at 800x600 or 1152x864 as it is at 1024x768?
