iTunes
When iTunes first launched I bought two songs and then decided to stop because of their DRM. I anticipated the DRM would give me anxiety (can I still play this music after reformatting?) and I was right. When I decided to do a clean install of Windows I remembered to Deauthorize Computer in iTunes to make sure I wasn't taking up another one of my authorizations with my newly formatted computer. When I reauthorized my tracks iTunes said I had 2 out of 5 computers authorized! Had I done something wrong? Did I not really Deauthorize the computer before reinstalling the OS? I'll never know exactly what happened but DRMed music will never get another penny from me. (I consider this a separate issue from subscriptions such as Napster which I have no problem with)
I was talking to a bunch of people tonight, coincidentally, about iTunes and DRM and there wasn't much awareness that there was even DRM on the tracks they were buying. Once everyone realizes they are not free to listen to their DRMed music, I suspect DRM will be dead.

The line is still flaky...
...so we::blog is going to be flaky. It's not officially installed yet. A technician is supposed to come out on Jan. 16.
