cassano despite his mafia's background was really a whiz kid on the field, he managed to control his temper and played brilliantly. it's been a long time since i last saw del piero played like that. invisibled during the denmark's game, he had shown why he is considered among the best playmakers in the world. if only trap wont be so rigid and put him up there with cassano and vieri. he should play behind those two where he could create more beautiful assists.
pirlo as expected did help changed the game into a flowing agressive football and dominating midfield.
the minute trapattoni took out cassano, i knew the game was going downhill. well, let's give him the benefit of the doubt. i can understand that trap substituted cassano because he already had one yellow card. fine! i can understand that he substituted del piero because the guy looked really tired. i can understand that trap took out gattuso because he already had two yellow cards and sufferred from cramp. fine!
but why the bloody hell did you bring in favalli instead of the young materrazzi with a physical to match the tall zlatan to defend your goalie? why didnt you substitute vieri who was bloody useless for the more creative and fit marco di vaio. why the hell did u bring him to portugal for eh? you fool!!!
you had like eight defenders by the time zlatan scored at the 84th minute. why man! why did u suddenly panic and turned cautious by bringing in all the defenders that you have in the squad. you know azzurri had proved that night how great they are at playing possession football. it's sort of like watching milan at its best.
didnt u remember euro2000. the catenaccio was no longer the "in" thing babe. you dared asked your players to defend the 1-0 lead as if you didnt know that anything could happen in football. bloody stupidlah. when you played defensively like that and had a siput babi for a striker a.k.a. vieri, everything would backfire man! your decision to play defensively in the second half just made the azzurri's penalty area more enticing to the sweedes. you gave them chance to pounce and pounce until they produced a result and they did. man! how they did!
to buffon, with a crowd like that in your penalty area, you shouldnt have moved forward. you'd get confused. let your defenders do their job man! nesta, you'd made a few uncharacteristic mistakes in the first half that were costly. lucky you had strong backups like panucci and cannavaro.
why did the azzurri always have to be so dramatic and keep their fans hanging in the balance?? why am i a supporter of the azzurri? why??why??? sheesh! i am sounding pathetic!
The azzurri qualify if they beat Bulgaria and:
1. either denmark or sweden win
2. denmark and sweden draw 0-0
3. denmark and sweden draw 1-1 and italy beat bulgaria by two clear goals
Italy will fail to qualify if :
1. italy fail to beat bulgaria
2. denmark and sweden draw 2-2 or more.

Trap is commiting suicide. Or at least he will be killed by many when he arrives home. That is, when Italia will be booted out. I'm not putting any hopes with the current situation. But really, what gives that man to ruin the game,again. For the god knows how many-th times.
And he had put on blames to the players instead. What tha. What can he expect from the players who are majority defensive after the equaliser, expecting blessing from god for a winning goal? Wait god did deliver MANY chances and I don't get why vieri is the one having to stay so long. He makes everything gone wrong. How many times has he missed chances. Yes scoring is hard but with his current situation, Di Viao definately deserved much better.As for Materazzi, he will be Nesta's partner anyway but I still am not keen with that fella.
Will Trap change his formation again? Will he be seized from ruining the team? He has everything he needed to get an attacking cum defensive team yet he is blinded by the fact being overly cautious. Which I don't understand why. Why is he getting extended contract in the first place when he failed wc00 magnificently and this for the future? This is so wrong. Very wrong. I definately want Alex to play that role, well he has been so well in it in juve and previous NT games. Should he be moved to the back or forward, he will be a wreck. I have alot of faith with that Boy.
