Adriano (Brazil/Inter) Roberto Ayala (Argentina) Michael Ballack (Germany) Milan Baros (Czech Rep) David Beckham (England) Gianluigi Buffon (Italy/Juventus) Cafu (Brazil/Milan) Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) Deco (Portugal) Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast) Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon) Luis Figo (Portugal) Steven Gerrard (England) Ryan Giggs (Wales) Thierry Henry (France) Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden/Juventus) Oliver Kahn (Germany) Kaka (Brazil/Milan) Frank Lampard (England) Henrik Larsson (Sweden) Roy Makaay (Holland) Paolo Maldini (Italy/Milan) Pavel Nedved (Czech Rep/Juventus) Alessandro Nesta (Italy/Milan) Michael Owen (England) Robert Pires (France) Raul (Spain) Roberto Carlos (Brazil) Ronaldinho (Brazil) Ronaldo (Brazil) Wayne Rooney (England) Andriy Shevchenko (Ukraine/Milan) Ruud van Nistelrooy (Holland) Theodoros Zagorakis (Greece/Bologna) Zinedine Zidane (France) looking at the FIFA's nomination list for world player of the year really baffled me. so disturbed i was with what i figured a biased judgment by the people from fifa, it made me sick in the stomach. how is it possible for seven real madrid players to be in the list in the first place?? it is, in my humble opinion, absolutely rubbish! raul's performances in the la liga last season and the recent euro 2004 were simply terrible. he was no longer the striker that every defender in the world feared. no player, i repeat, no player can be bigger than the club but not mr. raul gonzalez. it was shocking to discover that he was responsible for the players' line up. that was a coach/manager's job not a player. sheesh! to think that i used to admire him as a player. figo and zidane combined couldnt help save real madrid from a string of losses last season. so, why were they in the list? beckham couldnt even shoot straight and owen who???? roberto carlos was never a good defender in my book and he is supposedly one of the best defenders in the world but he too couldnt help defend real madrid's goal. as for the rest of the players, i think they deserved to be in the list except for maldini whose excellent defending was history (i am sorry paolo, im your fan too) and rooney. rooney is good but he is not phenomenal unlike Kaka. he might be in the list someday but not now, i dont think he deserved to be nominated now. he has a long way to go before he can reach that level. cafu was out of form too and the fact that he had won about every award there was in the football world didnt make him deserved to be in the list either. oliver kahn's stupid mistakes proved too costly for germany and bayern munich. he used to be the best goalkeeper in the world but he should have just hang his boot. nothing last forever. as to quote the late mr cobain " it's better to burn out than to fade away." i pity shevchenko though. he is one of the greatest strikers in the world and he has been scoring consistently much like thierry henry. his only misfortune was he wasnt born an italian or english or even french for that matter. without much success with his national team, ukraine, it's impossibled for him to win the award but i just hope that FIFA would just sit down and watch all his games with milan and then they will understand why his fans called him the ukrainean bullet. apart from the award, i was simply disilussioned with liverpool and milan and that's why i didnt have the mood to write about their games. sheesh! i just couldnt take it anymore seeing liverpool playing like that. their recent game against chelsea was so awful, it was a reminiscence of the old gerard houllier day. so many players were out of form and the passings were horrendous. they couldnt communicate with each other on the field. man! you have two or three dead ball specialists on the field. why must you depend on xabi alonso alone to take the free kicks when he did badly the first time. what was it, blind faith or something? benitez was so bloody ignorant that he put out a bunch of players who rarely played together for such an important game. why didnt he use baros and cisse upfront and put garcia in the hole behind the two? why didnt he let finnan and warnock play and instead used traore and diao who rarely got a chance to play. kewell was out of form and often lose his ball to the opponent and you let him play against chelsea. what were you thinking? damn! it's so frustrating to talk about this. milan has continued their winning way but their backline was a nightmare. they conceded a goal or two in each game and that wasnt good news for the milan fans. aging defenders like maldini and cafu really had me worried sometimes. their marking was terrible and dida aint no hero no more. oh man! enough football for one day.

Hey sis...!!!!! how r u ??lama nyer tak dtg ........
When I first saw the photo, ingatkan some gay football promotion ker? Heheheh...
I'm back to comment,long short, whichever.muahahha..
I just had a long debate over the list of supposed player of THE year. Like it's so obvious half of the players nominated are silent half of last season. I don't know which season they were watching about this players, but it certainly wasn't last season's performance. Raul was dead almost 3/4 of the season. BECK? GODDDDDD just because he has family problems, just because he's super all that (which is not), that does not mean FIFA board must close an eye to know the fact he was playing like a chicken without a head second half of the season. Exact thoughts with mine about REAL MADRID. The galacticos weren't even all that last season, they struggled, the heck they have 7 players listed there? TOTAL CRAP. So much for prestigious award, Kaka, IMO, should be the top winner. He definately did proved his worthy. Serious I root for him, and Maldini and Nesta and Henry (then comes Pires),Perhaps Buffon too.
Ok, I take my words back, 3/4 of the players were crap. Not worthy of being nominated but who am I to say. I could all well be watching the same players/teams from the wrong world.
Henry should be one of the top winners because he so deserved it more than Ronaldo. But having to say that, it's just sad because Arsenal didn't have as much recognition as Real Madrid, eventhough come to think of it, ARSENAL was sooo much better than any teams as yet no doubt. So it's almost unlikely for him to win either. Just because they are galacticos, they get to be voted more. ROONEY? I don't even want to say anything about him but yeah Owen is dead most of the season, sigh. Bogus nominations. blurgh.
I WANT AYALA BACK!! Gah! It so proved to Valencia that their backline is as fragile as jelly with his absence. Sob.
