Beyond, the three-member rock & roll band from Hong Kong, is set to usher the New Year and rock the night away with fans at the Arena of Stars this coming New Year's Eve.
Comprising of guitarists Steve Wong Ka Keung, Paul Wong Koon Chung and drummer Yip Sai Wing, Beyond has over the last 20 years continuously proven themselves to be the top band despite being amassed in a pool of pop idols in Hong Kong's challenging music industry.
Being the only Hong Kong band to make the transition from underground music with a loyal following to mainstream success, they sure have come a long way. Because of the efforts of Beyond's late and great lead singer cum songwriter, Wong Ka Kui, Beyond is considered an alternative rock or metal rock band, which produced many hits revolving about human rights, politics, peace and protests issues, even though the band has recorded many pop-rock songs and love ballads.

tak boleh jadi ni. aku mesti pergi konsert ni. apa nak jadi, jadilah. dah le ni konsert terakhir beyond sebelum dia org berpecah. 20 tahun tu kira lama gila tapi dia org bertahan jugak walaupun ramai fans dah stop following their music bila lead singer wong ka kui mati. budak-budak cina tu memang tak boleh harap. rata-rata semua cakap dia org suka beyond masa ka kui ada. biasalah tu sebab album beyond yang latest-latest lebih keras rocknya. budak-budak cina mana suka, jiwang karat.
last year dia orang buat kat stadium merdeka, aku tak dapat pergi sebab ada event OIC masa tu. frust menonggeng gila. tapi boleh ke aku mintak cuti. baru keja tiga minggu dah nak mintak cuti, boleh ke. tapi aku nak pergi jugak, tak kira. tengok paul wong menggoreng gitar dia dgn muka stone dia tu, tengok sai wing main drum dgn brutalnya. i think he is one of the best drummers yg pernah aku tengok. steve main bass pun cool gak.
alamak ini macam the best way to end the year of 2004 yg penuh dgn drama dan pergolakan ni. nak tengok beyond, nak tengok beyond, nak tengok beyond...kalau aku cakap 100 kali dapat tak agaknya?

zaza: alah zaza beli je kaset the best of beyond. memang tak rugi punya. layan dalam keta masa drive mesti tak boring. ;-) doalah supaya saya dapat pergi konsert ni ye. hehehe...
rainbowboy82: rasanya saya tak pergi kot. tengok scene kat tv tahun lepas, crowdnya terlampau ramailah. lagi pun semua yang pergi tu rasanya muda belia, kanak-kanak ribena lagi. dengan usia saya yang dah lanjut ni, tak berapa sesuai nak pergi. macam konsert distortion dulu tak ramai orang, lagi pun utk charity, jadi selesalah jugak. macam konset beyond ni rata-rata peminatnya dah separuh umur, semua yang membesar zaman beyond famous dulu, thn 80-an. macam tu gak konsert scorpion. hehehe... lagi pun macam tak manis pakai tudung tapi berhimpit-himpit macam tu, tak gitu???
zz: janji rock ye zz! hehehe...sebenarnya nak tukar colour tapi malas. hahaha...

semoga kao dpt pi tgk konsert beyond tu SN. kim salam kt diaorg on behalf zaza yek. suka jugak dengar lagu beyond nih. ada satu dua lagu diaorg yg zaza sendiri tak tau tajuk dia dan tak penah dpt dengar smpai abih. one day maybe i would be able to hear the whole song.
