I AM REDS THROUGH AND THROUGH
amazing that one-nil defeats to two different teams in a space of three days meant two different things to the Reds. the team's defeat to man u was really hard for me to swallow. watching the game surrounded by family that was divided into two created a really intense atmosphere. i must apologised to my nephew amir for pinching his arm. (maksu sakit hati tengok amir celebrate poyo sangat) hehehe... john o'shea's goal in the dying minute really broke my heart. it was the best liverpool's performance this season but yet we lost the game anyway. why couldnt liverpool find the finishing? they deserved to win that game. the defeat meant that we had handed the epl's title on a silver platter to our eternal enemy, figuratively speaking of course. yeah, we could blame lady luck for the defeat as man united played like shit that night but come to think of it, why couldnt we find the finishing. where did benitez, the master tactician go wrong? why did all the strikers under his reign failed to score? why morientes, the prolific striker found it difficult to score during his stint with liverpool while at monaco and valencia he was like a goal machine. crouch and kuyt too fell under the curse. just look at the score sheet? kuyt only scored a pathetic 9 goals this season compared to drogba's 18. and there was that ridiculous rotation issue to deal with. and another good game was against barcelona two weeks ago. in the second leg, we were pretty resilient in defense but again terrible in finishing. however, dont take the credit from the reds. we won fair and square two weeks ago. however, the reds couldnt afford to play like this for the rest of the season and next season too. is buying another striker a solution or is there a flaw somewhere in benitez's tactic. i am hoping that they can find a solution and be quick about it. i couldnt bear to watch liverpool become third or fourth best in the english premier league for another season. as for the red's back four, they were pretty amazing to watch. they work in tandem defending the liverpool's penalty area. as for carragher, even though he isnt up to par with nesta in terms of defending skill (no striker could get through nesta when he was at his best), carragher is in a class of his own. full concentration and acute tactical awareness make him one of the best central defenders in this decade but i guess terry and ferdinand's fans may beg to differ. i dont know how far will liverpool go in the champions league. i just hope they will do well in the competition. i am hoping the reds will not be meeting ac milan in the quarter final. sigh!

setuju dengan unsunghero. but we cant dwell too much on the past. the most important thing now is for the current team to create their own history, a new gilang-gemilang history for the next generation to appreciate. ;-)
...melihat untung nasib Liverpool sekarang, saya rindukan Liverpool ketika adanya John Barnes, Ian Rush, Kenny Daglish dahulu..entah bila Liverpool akan kembali digeruni seperti dahulu...
p/s:...maaf, saya tetap menyokong Spurs!
