ok, so i have one more speech to write. alah, aku siapkan weekend ni jelah. baru jer siap dua speech untuk minister. yg satu lagi nanti dululah. boringlah event tu, takde idea nak tulis apa. aku dah nak muntah2 bubuh statistik dalam teks ucapan. tak tau stats apa lagi yang aku nak bubuh. yg research dept ni bila nak kuarkan 2004 punya. lembab tul. dulu masa study, aku selalu tidur dalam kelas stats and barely passed the exam. apa taknya, satu semester punya subjek, belajar dalam satu malam. dalam hati aku, alah tak gunalah statistik ni dalam line kerja aku. budak PR ngan budak advert gunalah mende ni. budak journ cam aku tak mainlah statistik2 ni. ceh! konon. last2 kena buat speech, terkial-kial baca statistik. menyampah tul.
minggu lepas, aku dapat lari dari ofis pergi one-day trip kat kuala selangor. memang lega sangat dapat kerja luar walaupun hanya untuk satu hari. penat macam nak mati sebab trip dari pukul 8 pagi sampai kul 1 pagi baru sampai rumah. esoknya tu kerja pulak tu. dan yang tak bestnya bila balik ofis, ada macam2 benda yang bersusun atas meja aku. translations lagi??? aduh! dah bm nak english, dah english nak bm. macam-macamlah dia orang ni.
cerita pasal trip nantilah dulu. kepala otak penat sgt tak boleh nak fikir. aku nak cakap pasal bola lah. season baru dah nak start jap lagi. jadual semua aku dah tampal kat dinding bilik aku siap2. nak cerita pasal london bombing tu depressing sangat. nak cerita pasal deep throat, pun dah basi. dulu masa aku study, idola aku adalah Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein yang investigated the watergate scandal tu. sape student journalism taulah kot. aku curious gila nak tau sapa deep throat tu. tapi sekarang bila dah pecah rahsia siapa deep throat, tak interestingnya. macam anti-klimaks pulak. nak cakap pasal pesta filem hari tu, vovin dah tulis pasal tu dgn cemerlangnya. hehehe...apalah yang aku merepek ni.
the football season start early this year, well at least for the liverpool fans. i guess the koppites have to be grateful to the uefa for allowing their team to play in the champions league. we beat Welsh TNS twice to go to the 2nd round. well, it may be a david vs goliath kind of clash but still we never knew what to expect in champions league right!. TNS may be a Welsh minnow but remember FC Basel of the Swiss minnow. liverpool made them famous in the CL 2002/2203 (not sure) when they failed to beat basel. i had never even heard of FC Basel. sheesh! so there was hope yet for the reds since they could easily beat TNS. and i am really hoping that they will not lose to the other minnows either in the CL or EPL.
ralat: sebab hari tu aku emo sgt sampai tak research dulu before i talked about vieri being a mercenary. well, mi dispiace (i'm sorry) mr vieri. i didnt know until it was too late about what moratti and the gang did to you. well, anyway, you had the last laugh when milan offerred u the 5 million deal.
well, chelsea wants sheva very badly since the essien deal failed. long-live houllier. hahaha...as for sheva, i dont know how deep is his loyalty to milan. after all, he was treated like a king at the club. the "anak emas" lah katakan. but we cant dismissed the russian connection. roman abrahomovic might used that if all else failed. but if u asked me, i'll hate sheva forever if he went to chelsea.
alamak, i have to go to a stupid event at 2.15 karang. kacau daun betul. ok, ok, i have to think fast. well, gilardino is now a milan player. he's well-built, strong, creative, good in the air and the most important thing, YOUNG. his only weakness is he loves to dive. i am sad to see the departure of tomasson, dhorasoo, abbiati and pancaro. i heard ancelotti plans to play a three-men defense. hopefully it'll work.
emre to newcastle. oh man! im so hoping either liverpool or milan will snatch him. sheesh! just like inter to sell one of its great players. they probably busy looking for big stars they failed to see that they already have a great player in their camp. emre maybe smalled but he is lightning quick, smart and cunning. good luck to the turk.
viera to juventus. what was arsenal thinking? of all teams, why the hell did u sell viera to juve? now, the team is complete in every area. sheesh! milan has to work doubly hard. i dont want the old lady to win the scudetto again. no way! let's see how he fares in the serie a. he failed to shine once but at that time he was 19.
what is chelsea doing buying shaun-wright-phillip? well, maybe "because they can" syndrome. hahaha...abiskan duit kau to roman. buy because u can. but just remember this not every player can be bought.
maybe buying crouch can be a good thing for liverpool but mr rafa, do u really have to be ruthless to baros. ok, so he didnt score much last season but dont u think u should analize why instead of selling him straight. that's not the way. perhaps you were angry because he didnt follow your direction. he's a striker with his own instinct,let him be lah. maybe, most of his shots went down the blind alley but you dont have to sell him. as for reina, well i do think he is a good goalkeeper but i pity dudek though. he was quite heroic last season. but i do think the current liverpool team is exciting. as for milan, i dont know. i have to wait for the serie a season to start maybe in august unless espn wants to show the friendly between chelsea and milan in new york this week.

last night, a friend was kind enough to sms me the news about vieri going to milan. what the hell were they thinking signing the aging and troubled striker? it's just like milan to buy aging players. they already have a string of aging defenders for God's sake. this will just put more burden on the midfielders.
Vieri has long been known as the mercenary of the football world. there was no loyalty in him whatsoever. he went from club to club seeking i dont know what. there was another well-known mercenary player whom i like - oliver bierhoff who was in a class of his own. but that was a different story altogether. at least bierhoff had done well in milan years ago.
vieri, in my humble opinion is just an overrated football player who has just realised that he was no longer the darling of the nerrazurri. being benched game after game last season and forced to watch his rival adriano and obafemi martins put on sterling performances in every game was like a wake up call for him.
this is one unsettled player plague with injuries and had tantrums worst than a four-year-old. do milan need this kind of player. he's worst than crespo when it comes to choking in front of goal. off target shoots and strings of misses are his forte so to speak. who can forget his string of misses during the world cup in japan/korea.
what would happen to other strikers namely inzaghi, tomasson and crespo? and what happen to the bid on gilardino? i so wanted him to play with milan. stupid milan selling dhorasoo for three million to psg. he was to me a very good player whose skill had yet to be fully tested by milan. oh well, that is football and after all players are just a commodity and every summer the stadium will turn into buyers and sellers meeting place.

phew! i can finally breathe a little easier after almost three gruelling weeks of writing speeches after speeches and talking points after talking points. writing speeches for so many bosses from the ministers to the directors were really draining. not to mention the press releases. in the end, they just squeezed me dry, in term of ideas that is.
i thought i knew what i was getting myself into when i took this job but hell man, it could be really difficult sometimes. there were times that i had felt like quitting and escaped the brutal abuse of ideas in my head. but that was the pisces in me talking because i know i was stronger than that. i was just grateful that the portion of works were distributed evenly among us. i wish i was like the muse who has never run out of ideas as if there was a magic well inside her head supplying her with endless ideas and beautiful metaphors.
i found myself suddenly very exhausted. i need a break since i've been working for seven days a week over the last two weeks. i can feel myself slipping. sheesh! i need to reacquaint myself with the ocean, to breath the salty air of the secret island, to walk barefoot on the beach and watching my footprints washed away by the endless waves and listening to the harmonious music created by the wind and the sea at night. i want to look at the stars without the city's neon lights blinding my eyes and all i want is to enjoy life again. But for now, it was all wishful thinking.
so much for a break. it is not even noon yet but there are another release to write, another release to translate and another press conference to attend. sigh!!!!
