New Gadget "Wants"

I'm so behind on everything right now. I finally got around to doing a review of the Motorola V70. Actually, I had another review that I wanted to post first but I'm not done with it. I'm also backed up on work. Darn -- need better time management! In the last week, a flurry of new gadgets has emerged, making my gadget "wants" that much more interesting:

First, on the laptop front: there's the new Dell Inspiron 8200 with a really nice Enhanced UXGA screen plus with the Pentium 4 chip. I'm in! Then there's the new Fujitsu P series notebook. Wow! I definitely want that too! Now I just have to sell off my Libretto.

Next, Sony just introduced some new products in Japan. Check out the new CLIE. Looks great -- I want! Ok, got to figure out what to do with my CLIE now...

Also, there is a flurry of new mobile phones being announced. Nokia is gearing up for the launch of their color 7650 while NEC will introduce a Japanese look-a-like model for the GSM market later this year as well. But I just got a new phone (see my V70 review) so I'll wait till I get anything else.

Lastly, Pioneer's DVR-7000 finally makes the DVD-R players affordable. You can buy one now for just around US$1,000 which suddenly makes it very appealing. Oh well, I guess I have lots to look forward too...
